LA LOMA ROCKS!!

(AGAIN!)

Once again, the amazing staff and students at La Loma Junior High have proven that we are the BEST with an API growth of 21 points-- the  most improvement of any 7-12 school in Modesto City Schools!! That makes a total growth of 42 points over the last two years!!!!  We still have some room to improve, so let's all work together to have an AMAZING year!

SITE COUNCIL

  • We meet once a month from 8:00 - 8:45 in room 15 (usually the 2nd Tuesday of the month).
  • The council is composed of teachers, students, parents, classified staff, and myself. Members are proactive, informed, and collectively interested in improving La Loma.
  • Members give input on and approve the school Single Plan for Student Achievement, approve funding expenditures, receive updates about school data, student performance, and budgets, and generally keep their thumbs on the pulse of what is happening at La Loma.  Last year, the Council was charged with approving all of our block grant projects.
  • The commitment is a two-year term, so you would be volunteering for both the 2007-08 and 2008-09 school years.
  • YOU MUST CONTACT MR. HENDERSON NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 14th to be included on the ballot to elect the representatives.

If you want to volunteer in another way at La Loma, please contact Becky Vaille in the office.
